Michael Hage

Michael Hage is the President and CEO of American Innovation for International Development, Inc. A position he holds since January 2019 following a long career in human rights-based international development at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization where he held increasingly important positions of responsibility. He started his career in 1992 at the UN in New York, USA as a policy officer and later served in various capacities in the Middle East, North America, Europe and in North Africa. Prior to his early retirement, he served as Chief of Mission to the Kingdom of Morocco and later as Director for North Africa and Chief of Mission in Tunisia until his departure from the Organization in December 2018. 

Hage was also active in American-Lebanese affairs. He was elected President of the Lebanese Students Association of America in the Mid 1980s and was Public Affairs Directors at the Lebanese Information and Research Center, Washington, DC. Prior to joining the UN, he also served on the Board of Directors of the American Lebanese League and the National Apostolate of Maronites. 

Hage studied Economics at the State University of New York College at Buffalo and Public Policy at the George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia. He followed numerous continued education courses at the UN Staff College, JFK School of Government at Harvard and the International School of Diplomacy and Protocol in Brussels, Belgium. 

Hage is married and father to 4 children.
