Married 40 years with 2 children and 3 grandchildren. In 1963, graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics with an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Degree. In 1968, attended and graduated from the Sierra Academy of Aeronautics, acquiring Private, Commercial, and Instrument licenses as well as an Air Transport certificate. Spent eleven years working in the aviation field (Pan American World Airways and the Federal Aviation Agency). In 1975, left aviation and started own business in the baking industry. Currently CEO/President of Caravan Trading Company. Union City, California.

Member of the Board of Trustees of the Lebanese American University in Lebanon. Also a member of the Executive Committee for the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
